All the money in the world will not matter in the end. In the end he will be known as the man who allowed not one, but two American icons to fail at the same time. It really is stunning that the two biggest retailers one generation ago are both going out at the same time. If you had told people in 1980 that Sears and Kmart were going to vanish and both on the same day in 2019, they would have put you in the loony bin.

Naw, judge Drain is in Eddie’s back pocket, that’s why the bankruptcy has gone down in his favor so far. Come on people the HQ is in Illinois, SHC was incorporated in Connecticut and he files BK in White Plaines NY! Eddie is playing everyone to the end

It's a strong possibility that Judge Drain will address at the next hearing on Sept. 18 at 10 a.m. at the White Plains Courthouse in New York. The courtroom is open to the public, however it's best to get there early to get a seat.
Any Sears/Kmart employee, former or current, should attend these hearings and report back on the Layoff. The attorneys for the mall landlords, vendors and suppliers, etc. will all be there.
I dont believe for a second that he had a master plan. I think eddie seen a failing company and thought he could turn it around. Eddies legacy will be he k–led the once largest retailer in the world. Not only did he accelerate the death when he was CEO, but as the owner he is doing it at break neck speed...
How far Sears has fallen.....Up until 1987, Sears was still the #1 retailer in the USA, and in the early 70's, Sears had enough spare money laying around to build the Sears Tower in Chicago.
