Thread regarding Fry's Electronics layoffs

Sacramento and Roseville

Both frys in northern California (Sacramento and Roseville) are nearing empty.. very depressing. This was my goto place every week. Two months ago I saw a shelf full of latest modems and gaming routers. Now all empty as if they resold them back. Sacramento had only a handful of cat 6 cables. Roseville only a few cat 7 at $30 each. Fortunately i built my 9900k system with 2880ti in April when they had stock and everything I needed using all 20% off coupons

Those 20% off coupons were a brain-dead move by the owners to draw in customers. They profit about $80 on that ti you got for around $160 off and the processor would have been even worse, meaning they sold you everything at a very large loss. Not just you though, before they realized how dumb it was to give out blanket 20% off coupons at an electronics store where a good portion of the items make no profit tons of people made off with merchandise that Frys helped them pay for at a loss. Imagine getting a nice fridge before they changed the restrictions.

Its just one example of many of how the owner “helped” the stores get to the point they are today. If I told you they're stubborn too would you be surprised?
