Thread regarding Walmart layoffs

No more hand baskets to shop with

So the one WM I shop at here (the other one across town is where I slaved away 15 years of my life; I will NEVER walk back in there again), in addition to all the other steadily growing absurd store policies, has recently abandoned replacing their plastic blue hand baskets. So much for their People Greetr / LP Nazis, those baskets have apparently been whisking right out the front doors... Here's my prob with this:

I'm a single man who never buys more than 4–6 small items. I ain't tyna struggle with a large cart, getting in everyone's way, navigating through the already cramped aisles. When I couldn't find a hand basket, wasn't using a shopping cart, and was refused permission to use a shopping bag, the greeter told me: 'Well, why doncha just buy one of our reusable blue bags? They don't cost much!'

My response:

'Because why? Because I absolutely will not spend MY money on items to ease my shopping experience in a store that pays YOU ALL to be here. That burden is not on me. This business is already circling the bowl. I'd like you to wait eight seconds and re think this whole dialog we just had, after I leave, and ask yourself if you personally are part of the solutions—or the problems? Have a good day, thanks for all you do!'

Keep playin, WalFart.

I dont like the way it was worded but I agree with the point. Walmart should be doing a better job to be shopper friendly, and we all know it's been way bad enough for far to long as it is what with all the empty shelves and higher prices. So yeah, if they dont wanna buy more hand baskets they should do what Aldi's been doing forever and let you bring in your own paper or plastic bags. Something.

Good job making the $11.00 associate the target of your anger. Like that person at the door has the authority to order hand baskets or something. Here's what is going through that person's mind and body as you are berating them about something they have no control over
Their chest starts to tighten
Heart starts to race
Hands may start getting clammy or shake
They start thinking "why does this person hate me, what did I do?"
They start to stammer whatever they can think of to get you to stop verbally abusing them ABOUT SOMETHING THEY CAN'T CONTROL.
After you leave they may need to take a break somewhere to calm down and stop shaking after being berated.

This is what entitled customers like you do to employees, you think YOUR day is so darn terrible because you can't find a hand basket. Awww POOR BABY... how about that employee's day that you just ruined with your attitude. How about that employees MONTH because they have to make rent on 11.00 an hour?

The baskets get stolen and then people wonder why the stores don’t order more?!? Also it’s like the mart carts not being charged or left outside. It says indoor use only and you got into the store without one.

Well it is a true fact we order the blue hand baskets and they're gone. People just walk them right out to their car. Just another example of thieves ruining it for the people who honestly just want to use a basket.
If Walmart isn't the retail place for you carry on. Target be happy to get your business and Walmart won't miss you. As a Walmart associate I wish more of you bitter and unable to please customers would take your business elsewhere. Can't make you happy and you take it out on the associates, so Bye-Bye. You won't be missed!
