Google does not need TD. Unless at fire-sale prices, then, blow up the tech and keep the customer list. Doubt Google has any interest in that strategy, it does not pay well enough.
Whatever their backgrounds, they seem to be expert at:
1) taking advantage of around 10,000 employees and 1,500 customers
2) taking (and making) plenty of coin for that endeavor
3) making radical simplification quite complex
4) regularly disrupting themselves instead of the market and competition
5) taking the contrarian approach to increasing value
6) surveying the surveys instead of addressing the results
7) building new layers of issues and bugs into products
8) promoting fancy dress, adult coloring, cake making and pets at work
9) buying really poor companies and/or destroying any brand value/propositions that the good ones had
10) talking to customers as if they are complete imbeciles...
