Thread regarding JCPenney layoffs

Working at JCP headquarters in Plano?

I recently moved to the Dallas area and bought a house in Plano, only a few miles from the JCPenny HQ, I know nothing about the company, and I have a job and I'm not looking, just familiarizing myself with local job opportunities, but looking at the stock price I wonder if they company has fallen on hard times? 12 years ago the stock was trading at $80+ but now it's down under .80 cents. That's a pretty dramatic decline, what's the deal.

That's a shame, Sears is also doing bad. Also the Bonton went under recently m I guess folks just don't want to shop in department stores these days.

Don’t go there. They are 4 BILLION in debt. They cannot turn the ship around and it’s going belly up in the next year or 2.
