Thread regarding Fry's Electronics layoffs

South Houston Fry's

Can echo the same others are saying, but about the South Houston location. Been going there since just after they opened, but lately miles of empty shelves (unless you want as-seen-on-tv c-ap, knockoff perfume (wtf) or a mattress.) They haven't had any soldering equipment for a couple of months. Still have tons of microusb cables, though.

More than worth the extra 30-40 minutes each way to go to Micro Center instead.

Pretty sure that the line about it being because of the tariffs is total BS because Best Buy and Micro center are both fully stocked.

ALSO: Friendly reminder that EPO/Electronic Parts Outlet on Fondren is still around and is still the amazing electronics candy store that it's always been.

Not the one in Webster, the one off Hwy 59 @ Bellfort. They were out of basically everything when I went in last week. I can't imagine working there, either. They had the a/c turned way down (it was hot), and the overhead speakers were looping the same 3 songs over and over like they'd patched it into a Rock Band game demo. I think their actual employees cant imagine working there, either since I wandered for almost 40 minutes and didn't see anyone.

They have 3 locations in the Houston area, Houston 10241 N. Fwy I-45, South Houston 11565 S.W. Fwy 59 and Webster 21300 Gulf Fwy

When you say South Houston, are you talking about Webster, Texas?
