8/28/19 Layoffs and Reorg - Newegg Business was completely laid off today (About 150 people)

Customer Service is effectively getting cut down to about 1/3 the size, alot have already been laid off,

Newegg Business was completely laid off today 8/28 (About 150 people).

Product Mangers, Account Executives, their managers, Managers, Support Teams, the VP of Newegg Business, all gone.

They're trying to shift to online sales to not invest in so many employees according to rumors.

Their planning to move the customer service call center from Whittier to City of Industry and/or Texas, to reduce costs.

More Customer service agents will be let go come September as well as other departments as the "restructure" rolls outs.

Newegg is going down and investors are cutting losses to get the most they can before it does.

Wouldn't be surprised if Newegg ends up like Alibaba

This is true and as some have stated, it’s still on going. A few more of us were laid off as well. Citing restructure as the reason

Newegg Business is trying to compete in the hardware game and that end of the business is on a slide downhill. The try to compete against the CDW's who have face to face sales and support staff and Newegg Business doesn't. They are strictly a low end broker and it finally caught up with them.

Beware CS, PM and Tech/IT teams, there’s still more trimming to be done there

This was a plan since June 2019 , but they tricked everyone, they were supposed to give management team a heads up which they didn’t & they laid off all of them at the same day too .

Newegg is tied up in a lawsuit worth almost a billion. They are sharing liability with ASI. Would not be surprised if it is tanking the company. This lawsuit came shortly after a large investor grew its stake a couple years back, this is when that executives kid threw a fit and quit. Investors are pulling out and Newegg cannot afford to sustain with this pending fraud case.

I'm one of the people laid off as well as the whole B2B department and many top executives, Managers and so on.... its it's happening. I heard they want to remove all warehouses into one and rent space for 3rd party vendors.

Now we are getting technical, so it's not 100% (complete) layoff, it's 90% layoff. Oh, well...

Newegg Business was not completely laid off, it is still planned to continue operating at about 1/10th of the previous workforce.

I can confirm PM dept and other departments were affected. total 250 employees company wide.
