Will this one actually go for fair market value? The Canadian assets were let go for nearly $1B less than fair market value. Is this another desperation sale of assets from the clearance rack?

Yes it is. And if they tell you "this isn't a fire sale" then it's absolutely a fire sale. Buy high and sell low, baby!
