Good news for Resideo or great news for Quolsys, DMP and Alarm.com? Either way it's a sad commentary on the state of pro install residential security...UTX bailing on this entire channel. If I was in charge of launching Quicksilver...I would hurry.
frfm - like every other project (Storm, katana, etc etc etc) it gets pushed out and NOTHING gets delivered. Should have been called SlowSilver. BTW - they cant even understand the concept of margins....Im told you guys will lose money when you start selling this thing.
I have also heard there's two (not one) competitor doing what Buoy does and this company is very nervous about them...they are already out and being sold and more advanced then this one.

Mastering the concept of indoor bathrooms might be a good start to build innovative water products. On the technology side, can someone name one operating system, popular programming language, software framework, microprocessor/micro controller or mobile device that came from there? If you want to be seen as innovative...innovate.

20uw - no offense but India has clearly shown they can't figure ANYTHING out....Even technology created for them and HANDED to them...can you say TCC? Maybe focus on actually making a decision on your own and not waiting for someone else to tell you how to do your jobs and clean up your messes.
India has figured it out. Buoy and lantern are safe if Melville can get rid of those overpaid engineers.
There are competitors to every part of our business, but the key is integration. If we ever figure that out, we will on fire!!
