Thread regarding Fry's Electronics layoffs

Maybe some good news?

Randy Fry is the Current Owner of Fry's Electronics. I worked at Fry's in 2016-2017 I've even met the guy. From what I was told by associates Randy is the reason why they're in their current state. Through a series of horrible business decisions and bad spending the Fry's Account was looking grim. Along with this Money was tight and vendors noticed their tabs getting larger and larger. A mass business restructuring was required to remove Randy Fry (He had very little business experience in the first place) and hire on John Fry. John has an incredible business pedigree boasting 4 business degrees, many years of experience, and a collection of 5 businesses he has started and successfully kept running strong. His first step is to freight up the highest selling Stores to get profits up to Restock everyone else. One of the Associates told me their expecting 19 Trucks to come to the Wilsonville Oregon Store and get everything right again. Long Live Fry's Electronics!

This was posted in another thread by @10wphvSi-deqz. I thought more people should see it to know there might be hope for Fry's after all.

I just left the Wilsonville store and was surprised to see it nearly empty with little on shelves and very few employees running around. I asked one person as I made my purchase and he said that they were restructuring their vendors and should be re-stocked later this month (October, 2019).

Employee: "Welcome to Fry's, can I help you?"
Myself: Ohhh yes, I'm looking for a tube of Arctic Silver 5..... And by any chance would you happen to carry pallets of Aquafina water? You get seriously thirsty reseeding a CPU and GPU. Damn those high temps!"

My store has had several days where sales barely reach 15k. They expect us to hit 50k per day... There is no product to sell anymore. Half of our inventory is open box returned from vendor merchandise. Its pathetic. You want to wear someone's used earbuds or shaver, no. I don't think so.

The reason employees keep giving different answers on whats going on is because thats what they're being told to string them along and not let the cat out of the bag-that Frys is bankrupt and vendors wont sell to them. This is just another string along. I can give you ten more rumors similar that came and past and never were true. Also, I work at one of the profitable stores, but arent profitable anymore due to no product to sell. All the stores cost more to run currently then profit they're making. It also doesn't matter whose in charge currently Randy or John nothings changed regardless of whose in charge now. Methods have been put in place to money pinch, but 0% effort to bolster the employee base or products or reliability to a hugely dwindling customer base.

To be clear, many employees already know as well its the end, but for various reasons stick it out, if nothing else to collect unemployment.

The only baffling thing is why they havent announced a going out of business sale yet. As stated before, stores arent making profit for the company and, added together, cost in the millions to run since overhead is > profit currently.

Yeah, Aquafina, Pepsi, and tons of Hugh O. Bross-brand manfumes. I heard it was 21 trucks because they hit blackjack!

Lol more like 19 trucks of Aquafina water and Pepsi soda to fill up the empty shelves.

Wrong. They're moving inventory to higher performing stores for liquidation. All their vendors have cut them off for nonpayment and I'm sure will be demanding Fry's pay in full prior to sending out new shipments. It's ToysRus all over again.

This is clearly Fantasy Fan fiction.

John and Randy Fry are both Co Owners, no one hired either of them.

John has been CEO since the start and Randy has been running operations since the start.

Both have extensive business experience and successes, however, the retail market changed and Fry's did not adapt.

19 Trucks are not coming to the wilsonville store any time soon.

Fry's may make it to the holidays, but will not be around much longer afterwards.
