Like others have pointed out, this seems to have been visible for a few years. My first recollection was when they dropped all of the cool tech magazines and then filled up the isles with a sparse vinyl collection. It's really bad now in Sac now. Super old refurbs only on the shelf, I mean, really junky laptop refurbs. I almost want to know where they buy that sh– from just so I can peruse the wholesale listings for fun. Just a few (six?) months ago when I bought a new Surface (not from Frys) they had at least some new laptops in stock. They've been running the same promo codes on really old junk for months now. Hanger after hanger after hanger filled with the same cheap HDMI cable. They seem to be trying to make the place look full with them.
The last half a dozen times I've gone, they just haven't had what I needed in stock. I think it's even time to drop off their mailing list TBH, I can't see how they're even going to last until Christmas. It's probably a really bad idea to buy anything of any value from them at this point.
