What does a Broadcom relocation package include

If a remote worker is offered a relocation package at Broadcom, what can they expect that relocation package to include? Does broadcom purchase the home and sell it for the employee? Do they just pay for a moving truck? Is it a cash allowance for moving expenses? Or is relocation a fantasy since remote workers should expect to be let go?

I'm not sure I heard of anyone receiving one, at least not an IC. They were basically told "Report to this office by this day" or you don't have a job. How you got there was up to you. That said, not everyone has to come in to the office. This is very much up to the management and the role of the employee. In our BU anyone in R&D has to come in to the office as part of their regular schedule. You can WFH if needed occasionally, but it can't be a regular thing. But field people, pre-sales, sales, etc all still work remote.

I know that even in the CA days the amount they gave you if you were asked/ordered to move would not cover much. It was like $5-10k, depending on your band. Definitely no help with selling your house.
