in store 3869 The first team leader got heart attached .if you care too much you will get sick .another team leaders don't care .now the goods on the trash and compactor without claim them it will be huge shrink so worse inventory
I was a Dm I got promoted to Team lead position. At my store all Dm's didn't go to cap 1 or 2, most of them went to sales floor associates. I think they had an option bc alot of them have been with the company for several years. Most of them didn't want those hours of Cap anyway
My store just announced who team leads are and I got front end I was a can but nothing has changed yet....
What are the job responsibilities of the People Lead, especially with new Team Leads and People Operations Lead??

Are they required to tell you if you do/don't get a Team Lead position? I'm a CSM. We're going through this change now. Every other CSM except me (closing CSM) has heard if/what they are getting. Are they required to tell every single person (manager) before everything is announced? My Coach is there for a couple hours when I get to work but then leaves without telling me anything, when he's told everyone else that's been there when he's there...2 days ago. I feel like I bust my a– every night by myself & don't even get the courtesy of him telling me ANYTHING AT ALL. Is that an Ethics thing? I feel like it should be.
So what's the academy trainers gonna be with all this changing going on
Team leads are 4cweeks out. Weeks of mornings week if night. I weekend off a month none of the dms want this schedule but it is what it is
We will have 24 leads dms will be cap 1 or 2.
Not seeing any information. What is the difference between the People Lead and the People Operations Lead? Is the People Lead position going away? Have the duties changed?
What happens to dairy and frozen dept mgrs?
Please make sure your team leads have a personality! Not only with the employees but also with approved vendors that frequent the stores. Too many times the people with titles have trouble with the Walmart way which is being friendly! If you don't have a personality, get one quick! Also, make it a point to train your night crew o where to properly put the items they are stocking on the shelves. Your inability to do this in the past has cost Walmart millions of dollars in re-doing what you improperly did the night before! Walmart, invest in some training!
Coach is NOT like a co mgr and store lead is not a mini store manager.
Coach is an ASM with new title and bigger areas.....definitely pay not even like a co mgr....look up compensation on 1WM and has structure and pay. Store lead is new name for co mgr and over the 3 specialty asm that aren't going away and on store mgr day off they are the MOD.
If you been around wm more than 20+years its all going to Zone 1-6 TL&Coach structure......and no for the newbies on here Zone 1-6 is NOT the Zone Manager and Zone Supervisor that came and went in mid 2000.......something totally different.
Academy trainer role eliminated in SC and will only be in NHM till phase 4 of teaming next year.....
People Lead is old personnel
People Lead Operations is old MHRM
ALL AT(academy trainers) eliminated and CSM's
None of that is stirring pot.....all based on roles with Manager going away from hourly because of Duke class action suit refiled in Miami 2019. We did round 1 when it was settled years ago in new store structure where dm went to titles with supervisor in name . Anyone who's been around long enough knows that fact......Google dukes class action.
Well my spouse was dept manager and offered team lead position. Hasn’t been put in effect yet but starts soon.

Don’t not be fooled. All csm’s go away. They will be replaced with a lower amount of higher paid team leads.
Asst mgrs. lose their pay when stepping down. Support mgrs that gets team lead gets an increase therefore some will make more than asst mgr that step down to be team lead. It’s like taking away my raises that I earned thru the years. Also, CSM are being eliminated... Front end TL AND 2 AT.
So the program work well at my store. We have 3 Team Leads up front and 3 Academy Trainers. There’s 3 coaches in the entire store and 2 store leads which is like a mini store manager. There’s no dept managers or assistant managers. The Team Lead is an hourly manager position and they could do all of things that salary management can do. Academy Trainer is a regular associate and doesn’t get a pay increase. The academy trainer job is to teach all current and new associates how to work a certain area the way that Walmart approves of under the great workplace. The Coach position is like a co-manager but with a bigger pay and a little bit of more responsibility. Store Leads is like I said at the beginning like a mini store manager and does a little bit of store manager duties.

CSM IS going away. East coast, Oct 1st or 5th, no more CSMs. Period. Older people and better paid ppl will be moved out. CSMs not allowed to apply for coach position. Store managers going outside stores to fill the positions, a shame for the better qualified ppl IN the same store. Cronyism at its finest.

Csm is not going away simply a reduction
CSM or CSS will be going away on the new programs you are not immune to the changes.
Once the dust settles I would like to know if the dept mgrs had a severance option vs going to cap or similar.

106 walmarts are doing away with the general merchandise side of the stores to concentrate on online sales only. People. Fellow associates. That's alot of lost jobs. Walmart dont care about you.

CSM jobs going away starting Oct 5 2019.
Not all stores will have the same amount of leads, it's based on volume.
Asst Managers, Support Managers, and Dept Managers can apply for Team Leader. Everyone will get a pay cut unless you are moving up and not down! I doubt Dept Managers get a chance for Team Leader.
