5 years ago the stock price was over $92 and now it is at $42.37. Great. Probably will go lower. Not a good sign for stable employment.

hmpj, only problem with that is the business world thinks 50 is old. Only job they’ll give you at that age is WalMart greeter. And even that job isn’t safe, as their plan is to get rid of that position.
Boy, the street hates us. After a big day for oil stocks that saw most of our peers gain 4%-5%+, our stock rises a whole 0.67%. At this rate, I think I’ll be retiring when I’m 94.
@ujd, I really wish I was in the group you are in. We don't have a good culture or good morale in our org. Also, I've been trying to think positive for the past 3+ years, and that hasn't helped our stock price at all. So what, we haven't been doing our jobs up until now? I'd like to be optimistic, but I'm really struggling to find anything to be optimistic about. It really feels like we're heading in a bad direction.
That's funny, -ujd. After the facts and reputation of Oxy, after the experience I've witnessed first hand and the track record of persecution and bigotry at Oxy, your post is absolutely hilarious. You people really will tell yourselves anything to be comfortable with what you are.
Opportunity.
Just more reason to work harder and make this the best oil and gas company. We already have a good culture and just need to stay focused on the task at hand. It is easy to talk and think negative, but we need to be positive and move forward. We are all Oxy now and all need to pull in the right direction. If we do our jobs we will see the stock price increase. Hopefully all the negative thinkers will take the VSP if they can, and I will take my chances with those that stay. Oxy has a lot of good people working for them.
