The CEO literally announced layoffs the other day during a company wide meeting and no posts here? Nutty!
Apparently they will pay severance this time based on the current published policy.
No idea how many so we’ll see....

Does anyone know when they will start? Will they be done by mid September or done all at once in mid September?
If it's not documented in Salesforce, it never happened.
For us worker bees, not too concerned but it will be entertaining to watch these overpaid, no talent managers, directors and Vps squirm.
yup, that's a bad sign. usually they try to keep layoffs in the 5 to 10% range because otherwise it spooks too many people and creates too much turnover. sounds like they've reached the final "gutting" stage where they take the whole thing apart brute-force.
Yikes. If they're not even trying to keep the cuts under wraps (so people don't bolt) that is a pretty bad sign. I've been through a wringer a few times but never saw that. Hoping for the best for those still there. Some really really good people still busting their humps in the trenches over there.
It would make absolute sense that the cuts start at the top. Those "leaders" have spent the last year eliminating the real talent from the organization to cut costs and save their own jobs. Not surprisingly the result has been that the true performers (older and better compensated in most cases) are no longer around to deliver the results that these incompetent buffoons took credit for the past few years.
Before the SP purchase, I tried to warn you guys that it would be like this.
Severance? We're bankrupted! At least you'll get unemployment.
I heard about it this week and imagine the asm’s are in a frenzy. One in particular seemingly has already lost his mind. Two now that I think of it. They treated their ranks dreadfully and now they are on the receiving end. Not so fun, is it?
Apparently the cuts are going top down.
This will most definitely be a bloodbath, a lot of overhead in the company still. I am in Inside Sales and the pressure has been extremely over the top because managers and directors are worried about their jobs. Morale is awful as well so it seems some will be offered voluntary severances to leave according to the financial update.
I anticipate this cut to the be the worst one yet, what cannot go on will not.
