from my point of view, the integration of SYMC into Broadcom is similar to watching a car crash (aka auto collision) in slow motion. Starting with what is the solution portfolio which Broadcom is trying to build, who the target market is, and what resources they will need to service that market.

Acquisitions are really great for the people at the front of the bus (e.g., executives). It made me kind of sick to my stomach how chipper Rick Hall was initially in his first announcement all hands. Yes Rick, it's great, we know you and Art and the rest of the executive team will get massive golden parachutes and millions of dollars.
Meanwhile, your fellow co-workers are losing their livelihood.
I realize that's corporate America and that's how it goes, but it also makes me sad to see a product that many of us spent so much of our lives on to be EOL when some of them still have a great amount of potential with the right sales efforts behind them.

Not exactly. It's like demolishing of an aged building. They will build fancy but smaller one. Not for all, but those who survive will be happy
