Thread regarding CGG Veritas layoffs

Death of a Giant

My fellow victims.

The year was 2012 - London a heady, lovedrunk party carnival atmosphere celebrating biodiversity of the Olympian proportions including (but not limited to) the since k–ler Oscar Pistorious, on the blades, scything through the air like a moth. Queenie celebrated her 60th work anniversary, Adele went platinum with Skyfall and i bought a much cherished vehicle.

Also, the rugby loving overly optimist from France visited Llandudno, promising us the world, romancing us in the Birmingham (jewels, crowns, all that jizz) and with a smile and a kiss, he floated away to retirement, to be replaced by Robocop.

What happened to our beloved Fugro Geoscience companies? Cant we rewind and REJECT the approach from these incompetents?

It was not a giant in the first place.

TBH this has been the scenario with every company that CGG has got its hands on: MultiWave, Veritas, Fugro....
I had a sinking feeling as soon as the Veritas "merger" was announced in 2006.

The Inverse Midas touch.

I totally agree with everything you have said. Talking about incompetence, for those who haven't seen, here are Peter Whiting's recent blogs:

This guy is the SVP of CGG Geoscience.
