That's a fact. You can call me a nutcase or whatever you want - you cannot deny this. If the plane does not fly, money does not come in and at some point you have to let people go. This applies to Boeing, and any other enterprise you pick. It's a tautology and I have nothing else to add on the topic.

If you listen to the CEO comments, he said If by October if the Max is not certified to fly, production will be affected again. Supply chain is scheduled till the end of October. Weather that means another rate cut or production stoppage is up to the Department of Transportation and Trump. Boeing has scheduled two employment cuts for October. Fasten your seatbelts, it’s going to be a wild and bumpy ride.
Max 8 is dead!
Have you ever heard of contingency plans? They can do everything to prepare for the grounding to be lifted but if it isn't per the timeline well guess what could happen?
They are also asking spirit AeroSystems to send mechanics to Seattle to handle the work load. But mass paranoia is more fun.
Boeing is hiring hundreds of temp workers and asking for volunteers from the Renton site to go to Moses lake. Why would they do that if they were laying off employees ? They need the manpower for when the max 8 gets re-certified. Does not make sense to lay-off and hiring and retrain when the production ramps back up.
