So much talk on VSP. I can understand it’s better to get the money then to not get the money, but people talk about it as it some kind of game changer in their lives. Maybe focusing our attention on getting out, finding another job, and moving on with our lives would be a better option.

The two companies are as different as they can get. The activity set at Oxy may be of zero interest to many. Better leave and get a job that you may like at least more than staying put.
There are no more jobs in the oil patch. That’s part of the reason.
Pretty sure most, if not all, of us are ready to move on and head to the next chapter in our lives...we just would like the VSP so we can do so with a little extra cushion....
Guessing maybe you didn't make the cut off for receiving VSP ??
