Thread regarding Symantec Corp. layoffs

To Bluecoat folks, which Bluecoat products will be part of Broadcom ?

Almost nobody is speaking about Bluecoat products except for Proxysg.
Do you think that is the only product that will make through? What about the Support for other products?

Nobody officially said that. They care about money. They just dona wanna pay for AWS and other SaaS products that SYMC used internally. That's what Art said today.

WSS has potential. But does BCOM want cloud security? Rumors are that they don’t want any cloud stuff. Either way, wss has FAT. It’s good time to cleanup.

If I had to guess, I imagine WSS and CASB will both be kept in addition to ProxySG.

They will most likely be dropping SSL-V, Security Analytics, PacketShaper, etc.

I have no foundation for this claim, just my hunch based on popularity and market share. I have no idea what kind of margins or revenues are behind each of these products, I'm sure that is going to drive the decisions as well.

Cloud Security aka CASB would go with Broadcom for sure. They are desperate to have it. It has got huge business potential.
