Thread regarding CVS layoffs

All retailers are the same

I hate to tell you but I have worked for three different retailers and retail is retail and CVS isnt any different. Every retailer cuts payroll year after year, every retailer expects high service standards without understanding the daily ins and outs, every retailer has weekly meetings and conference calls, every retailer has scheduling systems that are supposed to be followed, every retailer has field leaders coming in all the time. It is retail and there is no CVS retail. Trust me that unless you are going g to leave retail all together, the grass is not greener. Sorry to burst any bubbles.

Sadly, @ZIhPoUb-nhqu is right.

For the most part this post is accurate. Cvs is near the bottom of bad. Yes others cut hours but Cvs was lean to begin with. $250 SPMH is insane in retail RX. I don’t know about you but when I go to Walgreens they usually have at least two or three crew and mgt. Cvs is usually a key carrying clerk who runs register and the store. I’ve seen customers go to checkout and ring a bell and wait. Eventually leaving their purchases. The cvs employee was answering the bell in the back. The amount of stuff laying on the register ???? What kind of business model is that? I used to go to Cvs much more. Now not so much. I wish they would hire more people

Lol the very true response was probably from the OP in hopes to get people to respond and argue back.

But no one cares so...

There are some that have better systems in place, CVS does not have a clear direction.
