Is there a scenario in which the talks between Symantec and Broadcom could be reignited?

Can't read the whole article but apparently there's movement!
Without a doubt they'll still be talking, but if the deal goes ahead you'll be GUTS overnight
Symantec doesn't have a good CEO since Clark left, and the presence of starboard in the boardroom points towards higher probability of a sale.
I would predict, that now Symantec will be sold for lower than $28, as they will be unable to justify the valuation after next earnings call. Might very well be proven wrong as well. These are interesting times.
It is clear that acquisition is well and truly on the table, but it's still up in the air if broadcom will be the buyer. The rumours say that Broadcom haven't given in, but they also aren't looking to raise the price, so at the moment it looks like deadlock rather than surrender.
Generally bankers talk behind the scenes . Are they still talking ? My viewpoint is they must be .
Yes they should get rid of the more profitable division of their org. Numbnuts
Symantec is a mismanaged company. Fire all managers up the CEO and start again, get rid of the dead weight consumer unit and they’ll be fine. Too bloated
The board is willing to talk to acquirers, and the board has set a price. From this moment forward the board needs to justify that price, and keep SYMC on the market. If they were willing to talk to Broadcom, who WON'T they talk to?
I'm thinking the answer is no, but it'd be nice to be sure.
