Thread regarding Walgreens layoffs

Is this true?

Don't know if this concerns all walgreens, but we received email stating if each person in Pharmacy doesn't get 5 people to sign up for 90 day script, manager gets written up. If anyone in store gets survey complaint, that person gets write up. Walgreens is out to get rid of managers and employees because we can't force people to do what corp wants. In fact a customer remarked that survey is set up to fail employee and store.

I found this in another thread ( @ZZZ4dz6-5nfc ), but this is complete news to me. Has anybody else hear anything about this?

They want us to sell more Rx's. And more Flu Shots. HOW? Buy 1 get 1 free? One for each arm?
This is not a salesperson job. We can't put Oxycodone on the Impulse-Buy shelf!!!!!

It's kudos to us when we get the doctor to send in a pr-scrip-ion for 90-day supply with one refill to replace the 30-day supply script we received first. Then, surprise! For the next refill of that very same script, we are notified that we need to dispense a 13-day supply instead, for a short-fill. SMF.

Leaving Walgreen's was the single best thing I have ever done for my health. What an awful, terrible corporation. I have convinced my family and loved ones to not support CVS/WAGs/etc in any way. Every single day, more and more people learn about how truly awful these corporate businesses are from both inside and out.

Support your local independents and neighborhood supermarkets.

Walgreens likes humiliating their employees. Whenever anyone in my store would get a negative review, the sm would post it up in the breakroom for everyone to see. Customers were encouraged by employees to submit multiple reviews complaining about a coworker they didn't like, hoping they would be let go from bad reviews.
There's no better way to build team morale than demeaning your workers!

They are competing to become the most ridiculous company to work for on the planet.

Just 10 years ago Walgreens was wonderful. You gotta get outta there people, for your sanity and for your health.

Corporate can do ANYTHING they want (besides breaking law). They can harass you and break every one of their policies - but you can't break one of them!

I left Walgreens 2 weeks ago. My stress level has been so much lighter. I thought I’d retire with them also but unfortunately after 12 years of foolishness budget, bonus, benefit cuts & a new DM that’s on a rampage to hit unrealistic targets and metrics i decided to find something else. I encourage u to get out while u can!

If it is true, I see a lawsuit in the making, sighting worker harassment.
