That's why I left Walgreens......Stupid is what stupid does.....
Frontier is a joke not because it can’t work but because we don’t have staff/hours or the ability to bring everyone together to make Frontier affective. Waste of money because you can’t empower from the bottom up when you don’t even have time to go to the bathroom.
Amen. We were the second area to drink the frontier koolaid. It was great at my store at the time. I had 20+ team members so was able to lighten the frontier load. Now I am at a store that including everyone pharm to managers is less then 10! Impossible. So we dont do it. Put up the info when we know we have a visit and make it look like we just had a meeting lol.
This company is in trouble.
I worked for Walgreens in the Albuquerque area for 20 years, and would fight for others Walgreens started to affect.
We did not have frontier then; however, they were putting managers who were (yes-men) and did nothing their stores were if fill disarray. I was the market leader, in all KPIs and they fired me in 2007. Jeff Tein, our old CEO, was soon relieved of his duties. He is the last of his breed of, (GREAT) Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
When he was let go, my days as a champion to him. In fact, my newly promoted DM, wrote a terrible statement about Mr Rein and I called Mr. Tein and emailed the piece to him.
When the DM douchebag spoke to about it, my days were numbered. I lost my job, where I worked, and 85% or better of the store managers say in the office. I loved the company and excelled, as I ran my operation as my own.
Now, my assistant is running a district in Albuquerque, and he S—S. The store condition jere in Albuquerque are in disgust. No managers, no service long lines. Warehouse is full to the hills and NO HELP TO MOVE PRODUCT OUT OF THE STOCKROOM.
If, anyone thinks a pharmacist can run a store, they are sitting in a powdered up room with Richard Pryor and Rick James. Less than five (5) of pharmacist can run a store.
So, based on stats, 95% of the stores will fail. Look after over 100 years of record profits, in 2019 Walgreens or Gangrene, has missed its earning.
I saw that coming over 10 years ago, when I was over eating and full of depression, for the way they fired me and stole my love of Working for one of the Greatest companies on earth. Now, it is a brick and mortar store, with an empty shell and no love for the store.
All stores are just their and not loved like before. Even with bad managers it is still better then doing away with managers. Walgreens will be consumed within the next 10 years.
Frontier Program is a money draining 'no good' program. Waste of time.
Biggest waste of time ever!!! There's no payroll to even operate our stores. Then your required to work measures, fill out forms, and have meetings. All of which have had zero positive impact on our store. This program should have been stopped a long time ago.
