Thread regarding CVS layoffs

I can confirm via my store manager, that big hours cuts coming for september due to self checkouts, we are getting very soon. Let's just say we'll be losing some where in the neighborhood of 50 hours! Not good at all, really putting our hours at crisis levels!

I thought beauty consultant was getting a portable register...they wasted money putting the rolling rack on each store,that is now an overstock cart lol. Waste of money 💴

I really don't see how self c/o will work for stores like mine that are extremely bogged down with extreme couponers - these customers c/o for 5-20 minutes each They come in packs 3-4 at a time - we would still need same number of payroll hours at c/0 maybe more cause 2 cashiers get bogged down then u need another on self c/0 - only problem is there's only 2 of us there

This will work fantastic during Halloween and Christmas. I will do wonders for shrink

Didn’t they learn anything from self service photo kiosks.

Sorry, but this will not work for CVS. Why.....because most of the customers, or patients, as you prefer, are older, and want assistance with their purchases, whether it be directions, Extra Care Bucks, etc.

You can understand self checkout registers, such as Wal-Mart, Kroger's, etc., because they have such a diverse customer base, but you do not see that many millennials hanging around CVS, Walgreens, or, a Rite Aid, do you?

1st two weeks expectation 20% of customer to use aoc,by week 6 50% usage, all will be monitored if not at 50 will need to explain why.

You lose 20 hours per AOC. This is a freakin joke.

We have 5 FS registers. Losing 3 of them, and getting 2 self-checkouts. So we will have 2 regular registers and 2 self-checkouts. Not 100% sure how this is going to work hours wise, but I’ve been told, hours cuts will be small at first, and get worse later. This is crazy how tight hours are getting!
