My husband's Walmart pharmacy had to let a cashier go yesterday as she was the latest hire. So now a tech will fill the cashier spot and pharmacist will play tech AND pharmacist. They already know that pharmacist cuts are coming, it's just a matter of how they lower that gauntlet as to who it affects. It's going to take misfills and mistakes and lawsuits before this hemorrhaging stops. Sad.

This is how they handled the first "purge" too. That time it was based on past reviews, time with the company, and how many pharmacist hours were being billed to each store (ie are there too many pharmacists based out of a low performing store, even if they're floaters). I have no idea what they used this time besides time with the company, because there's a lot of people in my area that kept their jobs over ones that shouldn't have been let go.
I could be wrong, but this is the third time they've done this. This time it's just on a larger scale.
