Are there any benefits to working for this company?

Let's be fair here. It's not all bad. There are some dedicated "old timers" at the company. These people truly care about what they do and are very good at it. They also provide valuable domain knowledge of health care in general and the companies apps.

New hires are mostly interns and recent college grads. So company policy seems to be "get 'em cheap and train 'em up the way you want". If you're lucky they'll stay a couple of years - until they figure out there are greener pastures and or get burned out and leave.

I agree, There are some people inside Allscripts who do enjoy their jobs, having spent over 14 years there, those people are in low level to C level management positions. There is huge churn in Allscripts with the exception of the leadership. They are the un employable of Allscripts. NO skill set the market needs , from an RD/technical standpoint, obsolete dead weight,

Lately the company has not had layoffs because enough folks are leaving on there own. That should tell you all you need to know about the work environment and employee "satisfaction".

EPIC may be a better place to work, but they're pretty infamous for only hiring what basically amounts to interns fresh out of college and chewing them up for a few years. If you're older than 30 and/or have healthcare IT experience at other (competitor) companies they aren't going to hire you.

There's a lot of people at Allscripts who don't b--ch on layoff sites and actually seem to enjoy their jobs, or at least make a pretense of that. In my office and several others I travel to regularly the overall mood doesn't seem that bad, and there isn't any insanity that the remaining old-timers haven't seen before on many occasions so they're just rolling with the punches.

Find a different dog with less fleas. There is far better places to work. Find yourself someplace else to work. If it’s short term project work, Allscripts might be a good place. Long term, you’re better off elsewhere. Check out EPIC’s vacation package which is far better than Allscripts.

job market not that bad, look other places but if you need a job then that is what it will be. Allscripts is a great place to learn what NEVER to do in management..
