CVX employee here, who has survived multiple ROMs (our version of the hunger games). I’ll give it to you APC folks straight. That guy who they announced will lead the integration on the CVX side has NO soul. If this were feudal times you could expect to have your villages razed, your cattle confiscated and absolutely no response to your weeping and wailing. If I were to guess, my bet is that there will be mass casualties in the corporate staff - the closer you are to the wellhead the greater the chance for survival.
Oh, and all you contractors, start setting up those farewell lunches - your a$$e$ are the low hanging fruit. Admins, you too - ya gone! Middle managers with only a few direct reoports - no one is coming to save you. Poor performers, I’m not stuttering when I say start packing those moving boxes.
