@YL7MLuY-nqyz what State? Am a full time merch but one of the newest in my area(2yrs).
Just received my 60 day notice. I'm a part time merchandiser and was told it will start from the bottom and work it's way up based on your tenure with the company.
Don’t forget all the 3rd party Nestle distributors are being effected too. Sure Winner/Gillette in the Northeast and New England
Does anyone even care about the business at this point?
One of my coworkers had the nerve to tell me how he wanted his display built and I just chuckled and OK.
What an id--t
The id--t that’s gonna charge 50 dollars for the recording to send to a fellow employee, how low is that. GREED, ur a joke.
I have the recording.... Why did you need it?
When is Q4?
I have the recording... $50 for the email
Can someone email me the recording........
Why doesn’t everyone grow up and do your job, collect the money and move on. Or just quit and move on . Every dsd company is going warehouse or distributor.... it’s the sign of the times.
Mostly interested in the part where he talks about severance pay. Will post my email or any thing else needed to get it.
Any one know how I can get a copy of the recording
Yes a buddy of mine RECORDED it all...
PASS THIS ON..
Give ALL company shirts hats anything with LOGO to local homeless people on congested street corner....that's what I'm going to do...
Missed a little bit of it, but got most
Dose anyone have the layoff call recorded
Honey!!! Yes Dear...is this a piece of metal in the Digiorno pizza?
I think now that the announcement has been made this forum has died.
How about a Facebook page?
I can’t believe they laid everyone off
Pete Schmidt is currently s---ing d--k for severance packages!
Just talked to Walmart frozen dept. today and got word that they are already taking more applicants to work frozen isle. My route has mostly Walmart accounts, looks like i’m not going to last long...
Terminated as in involuntarily termination. If you were notified today your last day is in 60 days, you still get 6 months of retention. Use some common sense and just read a little bud. Sorry for not being more clear.
The guy below me is wrong. You get terminated you get $0....nothing at all... Funny those who don't listen shouldn't speak.
Your retention is paid out at a minimum of 6 months. If you make it past 6 more months of employment then it’s based off eligible earnings starting today until last day. But say you are terminated prior to the 6 month mark retention is still paid out using 6 months of eligible earnings. Amazing how we had this meeting finally and nobody seemed to listen or actually read the details.
A full day now to process this ...... what we know is that the frontline employees have absolutely zero to do with why this is happening .
Management with no backbone , and upper management that is just plain garbage has everything to do with it .
The departing workers will be better off , and nestle will be in the toilet in coming years. They will manage every branch of it into shambles , and the investors behind the forced decisions all will have long since gone with their paper profits.
Nestle is gonna hurt a lot of good hardworking loyal people on the road theyre taking , and they will get whats deserved in the end ....
Now for the rest of us , the hunt begins for an employer that is true to its business and employees ..... that said , stay as far away from anything having to do with the grocery business ....
Guys. The retention is C-ap horrible.
If were lucky to make it to Sept. What is that equal
Boycott
I was with Nestle 13 years. I got the boot last year. Get out now if you can.
F--- it
They wont spend money on stuff like d--g tests at this point .
I completely believe the getting rid of the private fleet , theyre too stupid to onow how to use it to make money anyway .
I really want to know who is gonna help the walmart customers , unjamb all the bailers , and stand the pizzas up?!
The peoplenet and miles app have nothing to do with what just happened , but everything to do with the stupid things nestle management prioritized except sales . This has been planned for 2 years , and the frontline was setup to fail intentionally . Running at 30% out of stocks on orders , so that u force walmarts hand into ordering mass quantities into their warehouse system so nestle will fill those orders first.
We never had a chance ..... thank you to all those investors that would sell their kids to make a buck.
I sincerely thank all my coworkers for many good years , and customers i served for the paychecks over the years .....
And here come the d--g tests. Nestlé blows.
I know our depot had the worst numbers in people net when we first started that system. The worst numbers once the miles app was introduced. And don’t forget the drivers who couldn’t log in correctly to there computers in the truck. All in all for me I can honestly say we can blame the guys up in corporate but I’m sure our numbers have a lot to do with it as well. My suggestion to the people who have a spine and common sense get out before there are no good jobs out there left. I just put my 2 week notice this morning and my boss couldn’t have been more happy. Good luck
Nestle is not done yet!!
Talked to a friend of mine who is a broker that deals with Nestle water and transportation. When April 2020 comes next here and they are finished with there transition to the new warehouse format, that is when they are going to eliminate there private fleet of semi trucks. Another example of Nestle using there employees and then letting them go. If I was a Nestle semi driver get out while you can the clock is ticking. So terrible how Nestle lies to there employees and keeps them in the dark!! All I can say is I believe in karma!!
No offense, but where are you saying you could make more at? Personally, all jobs I’ve seen for the same position I have now...make way less.
Everything they did with raises in the last month is to try to get people to stay til the end ; severance is garbage and u can make more somewhere else and they knew that in April when they made these decisions.
All the money spent on technology and apps and unnecessary stuff was all just Nestle management at its best and the reason it is where it is .
All the technology in the world doesnt have a thing to do with generating sales and moving product from point a to point b. At some point u have to know how to run a business like this , and Nestle doesnt and never will.
The next news headline yesterday was that Nestle is expediting the hiring of more women into executive management positions ... thats all good and well if they know what the heck their doing , but all too often companies are hiring numbers to fill quotas. The company is run by stockholders that know nothing about this business and how to get sales from customers...
To many yes men in management these days ; if your not in management to make a difference then why you there ?? Just to get a check and do what stockholders tell u with no care for whats the right thing to do?
The total bs first line of our meeting ‘ this is a result of our customers wanting more control over their inventory ‘. Thats garbage ! There isnt a grocery store in the world that WANTS to stock our stuff and doesnt want a sales rep to show up ...... keep telling the lies as excuses. Life goes on for the rest of us .....
IMPORTANT QUESTION: why did Nestle finally go to OT and VROT (what year was that)
Could we have a class action suit for previous years of NOT paying us OT
Didnt Frito lay people have alot to do with running this company in the ground
401k is fine regardless if you work to the end, you’ll be automatically vested for r this situation but only if you work to the end. Pension is separate, it’s listed in the paperwork. It takes being vested (3 years) to get it. But they stopped offering pensions in 2015 so doesn’t apply to me. You can start to draw it when you leave, or wait. But details in the packet like I said.
Your 401 is fine. Depending on how many years you’ve been there you may or may not be fully vested (I think it’s 5 years but it could be 3). You’ll continue to contribute until your last day and after that it’s up to you what you do with it roll it over to a new employer or or your own IRA but it is yours.
