What happens to my pension? Do they buy me out? Or freeze it where it is? Not one mention of the pension plan at the " your fired " meeting. BTW I have watched multiple DSL's waste company money on free lunches for themselves and DA's that just happened to be at the office. I've watched DSL's fly all over the country for meeting s that could be teleconferenced . I had one dsl that when we had meetings he would order an extra tray of food to bring home to his house. All on Nestle's dime. Send guy gave away pallets of product to his church for an ice cream social. And this guy still has a job because he was moved to the warehouse division. All the while he kept telling us that we weren't going anywhere and that we were going to absorb the nroc people. Lies lies lies. ( FYI, this scumbag used the office to cheat on his wife) .These are the people that work for Nestle and get promoted.

The following information is coming from HR directly. I have an HR friend who was finally able to communicate with me and gave me some of the details. It's kind of jumbled but these are the details:

The frontline package is 1 week for every completed year as of last day worked. Those over 50 get an additional lump sum. You only get severance and retention if he stays employed until the Nestle-identified last day of work (which has not yet been determined). If he leaves before that, it's considered a resignation and he gets nothing. retention will be at least 6 months. So if by chance his last day is less than 6 months from now, they'll true up his retention bonus to be calculated based on at least 6 months of earnings. The retention bonus is 40% of his eligible earnings from today until his last day of work. Eligible earnings are all the time that he's working and not the time that he's not working. So PTO, short term disability, etc. don't factor into eligible earnings. So it's at least 6 months of his eligible earnings times 40% but it could be more depending on when his last day is. He will also receive the full time severance package, which is 1 week of severance for every full year of service. He'll also get money to pay for COBRA for the number of weeks that he gets severance. The packet he receives in the mail will detail all of the money associated with his severance and retention packages. There's also a ton of FAQs in there that will answer a lot of your questions. We expect the transition to take at least 6 months. Paid out for unused PTO. They expect the transition to start in Q3, so at least six months from then.

That's some of the basics that I KNOW. Packets should arrive tomorrow or Thursday at the latest. Kind of dissapointing that you can't take severance and leave, you have to stay on or lose it all. Husbands boss said they still have to meet their numbers too, or it can affect something. HR also said they are committed to letting everyone have 60 days notice of their last day. Hopefully they figure that out soon. Some areas could be sooner than others...

On deletions, someone posted this a couple of days ago, source below:

I've been on this site since 2015 (first with Verizon and now with GM) so hear me out:

mods/admins exist, they are silent tho

they delete messages, sometimes in bulk (eg all threads or all messages you ever posted by you or someone else may be nuked)

they block ip addresses, some vpns will not work as they are already blocked

some words are blocked and trigger reviews, try to enter xes in reverse and they'll review you

here are things that will trigger a review, purge or block: swearing, use of names, politics, attacking other people

got blocked once, never heard back from them and had to switch ip

if someone is crossing the line you can report it on the contact page

dont post in weird threads, they may bulk block you (if you do, use vpn)

they really cannot stop you posting, use a vpn and you are ok - if you are using a vpn, dont use bing ones like nordVPN as they have them blocked - pick a smaller providedr

try to avoid any discussion about race or identity groups, they dont f around with that - that's like an instant ban and all your older messages get deleted

i am sure there is more stuff that i am forgetting but this is it in the nutshell...

Really tough coming home telling the wife and kids that I don’t have a job anymore. I really took ownership of my my job just like I do with anything else with my life. Nestle stock will be up in about a year from now, according to CEO Steve.

I remember when Sams Clubs went warehouse with pizza ; most of those stores went from the 2 or 3 doors that sales reps acquired down to 2 or 3 items ..... this will be a huge fail for Nestle and they will get whats coming down the road.

And i agree with previous posters ; there will never be another nestle product in any of my families or friends homes . Thats no threat , thats a promise.

Doesn’t really matter what you have recorded because his statement applied to MANAGEMENT positions not FL. Our packet clearly states 1 week per year and that’s what we’ll be getting while DSL/ASL will get two per.

Question for the brilliant minds that run Nestle??? Yeah right!!

Do you really think the stock person is going to rotate and stock the shelves like we did? Have you ever looked at a Wal Mart store and see how poorly they are stocked. Will make sure and I hope everyone else checks product dates next year on pizza and ice cream and make sure the store managers take it off the shelves. Talk about a golden opportunity for our competitors to gain shelve space. Way to go Nestle I think you should have stayed in Switzerland!! Will never buy a Nestle product again!!

For Daniel Loeb and the rest of the investors :::

Saving money isnt making money ; at some point you have to actually know how to make money. Profitability doesnt matter if you have no volume. I sleep well knowing Nestle will fail going forward , as their plans are reactive to the rest of the market, instead of being the market as Kraft Pizza was. And i dont even want to really try to understand how you fail with an ice cream company , but they managed to do that too ... lmfao!!

This company was ran so horribly. Any company that is seniority based is cr@p in my opinion. You can be an amazing hard worker but someone who has been there longer then you but stinks at there job can take your job anytime there is a reroute. There was never any stability with this job. There was no reward orincentive to sell more or do your job right. They basically encouraged you to abuse the system. Goodbye Nestle DSD and Good Riddance! You really showed how much you appreciate & valued your employees when you offered them 1 week for every year. What a joke! Shame on you!!!

Hi everybody

Former kraft/Nestle dsd driver, worked for the company for 20 years. When Nestle took over in 2010 we were at 72 percent market share in the upper midwest pizza market, we were the most profitable division for Kraft foods, the only reason we were sold is Kraft had to raise money to buy Cadbury chocolate. From day one there bussiness plan made no sense. We took a 15,000 to 20,000 pay cut after two years under the Nestle plan. The guy who sold 50,000 worth a product a week was getting paid the same as the guy selling 25000 a week. Took away our bonus plan. Gave no incentive for us to sell, cheapened the pizza product. When they closed my warehouse they literally gave the freezer and all of the improvements they made to the building to the landlord. In my 40 years of work I never seen such a over managed company at the top. The proof is in the pudding market share is now at 45 percent. They lay off 5000 workers

They would not listen to us back in 2010 it was the Nestle way or the hiway. Wouldn't you listen to employees that grew the pizza bussiness year after year for Kraft??!! All I can say is good luck and bless all of you in your future!! A amazing group of hard working individuals. And Nestle shame on you!!

"The unit was able to reduce costs but ultimately, the direct-to-store model was too expensive even once the company “reached the maximum point of efficiency,” Steve Presley, CEO of Nestle USA, said in an interview."

Such a BS response. Things were never ran anywhere close to maximum efficiency on the front lines. I worked in 2 different markets over my 8 years and neither were ever close to being efficient. From incompetent employees, to routing that made zero sense, to the money they would spend on useless c-ap, all of the other nonsense they constantly focused on that had little to nothing to do with actual sales. If the higher ups really believed we were at maximum efficiency it just goes to show how disconnected they are from what really goes on in the field. Oh well. Time to move on.

There is no way you'll get your $20k, in addition to being taxed you will be losing accounts as they transition to warehouse and you'll lose all pizza business in the very near future. They are using an estimate based on what you made when things were running at full strength. The next 6 months you won't be running at full strength. You'll probably come out somewhere around half of what they promised you. Regardless, I wish you luck and congratulations if you already have a job squared away.

Everyone should get a new job immediately. Waiting until the end and living off of 8 weeks of severance is foolish. Good luck getting a job when 5000 employees are laid off around the same time. Why would any one work here for longer then they have to? Get out as soon as you can!

It just says....1 week per year of service, by minimum of 8weeks. Max of 52weeks. So yes. Anyone under 8 years gets the same. We have a guy with 3 weeks since he started and he gets the same as me. Not fair, but who f---ing cares. Everyone deserves money to get by on till they find a new job.

by
| | Reply
Post ID: @bbpu+YL7MLuY

That is confusing. I just know what HR told me. Doesn't entirely make sense that someone with three years would get the same as someone with eight years though. Not really fair. But, I haven't personally seen a packet yet, so if you have one already and it says that, I guess it's probably right.
