https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2019-02-14/nestle-sees-improved-sales-growth-in-2019-puts-herta-on-block

Last part of the article talks about portfolio adjustments and investors pushing to sell frozen food due to no growth in 2018.

Interesting read..and the end of the article states what we suspect. They are selling off a lot to streamline business.

"Growth in frozen food, including pizza, was flat this year and its ice cream product sales slightly dropped from last year" https://www.fooddive.com/news/nestle-considers-selling-its-cold-cuts-business-as-sales-surge/548437/

As we get closer to Tuesday rumors will get more and more nerve wrecking. We all need to relax and be focused on our own safety out here in the field since Nestlé clearly doesn’t care. Definitely don’t bust your butt at work this weekend.

Same with Shwanns. since the have Red Baron, and Dean's already has Friendly's. FTC may call monopoly on those two, just like they did when we had Ben & Jerrys and acquired Haagen Dazs.

A unilever deal would probably have a hard time getting through the FTC given the products they already own

I checked the Warn notices for NY, CT, MA and NJ and only saw one nestle notice for Nestle in NJ for when they closed the Florian park office. Other than that there’s nothing in 2019

Im guessing the stock market would hint answers ..... somebodys stock is changing over the weekend regardless of insider trading laws .

Maybe the old Tombstone guys at Palermos get a hold of the pizza and have a vision to make it what it used be .

One thing is for sure, Nestle is about the dumbest company on the planet right now .

Nestle Dsd has always been horribly managed. They’ve never been a sales company, they’ve focused on metrics and safety paperwork work. I have four Walmart’s that make up 75% of my sales but I’m only allowed to deliver twice a week with only minimal or non merch support so shelves are empty with product in the back, but I have run just to hit my 10 DG’s and circle k’s that make me a whopping total of $5 in commission. They should’ve added more routes to allow us to grow, but none of that matters anymore. I hope that another company with direction are the ones that take us over. But if I don’t have a job, I hope there is a severance package and I can move on and maybe work somewhere I’d enjoy. Maybe a brewery.

Bought by Elon Musk. We will be delivering product by Tesla’s and drones. In a couple years we will be delivering pizza and ice cream to the moon and Mars via space X Falcon rockets to the first Muskcos’ in the solar system.

Remain DSD but I don’t have details on who. Just that we will probably still have jobs or can take a buyout if not wanting to go to the other company.

This is all about a meeting with the Bob’s. They are downsizing. They done turn a nestle employee into Milton and is going to burn the damn place down.

I don’t think it’s warehouse. It’s obvious Nestle wants to shed the products that don’t have a better for you image. They just sold their candy division last year to ferrer rocher. It’s probably a sale of their frozen business.

Yup. And look what follows thereafter: coffee, pet, infant nutrition. That’s the way they are moving folks.

It’s not a coincidence that our meeting is being held simultaneously with the investor meeting. Nestlé VP Patrice Bula Maybe the axman. The Innovation presentation might be a fancy word for getting rid of DSD. You can see the itinerary I at the link below

I am having a hard time thinking of who could take on our products as well. Then again, that is way above my pay grade to even begin to piece together big business acquisitions lol .. jobs will be lost no matter what, just hope for everyone’s sake it’s as minimal as possible and not worst case scenario where it’s total loss of all front liners.

Selling is the most logical explanation. Nestle has been more focused in healthy offerings and you just can't make ice cream or pizza any healthier. That being said I don't know who could take on such a big product. If it happens (a sale) get ready for lost jobs. New company's always start k--ling off all the employees and restructuring everything. Nothing will ever be the same...

I look at it coming down to 2 possibilities: warehouse or a sale. And while warehouse has been the popular rumor for years, when I take into consideration the importance of sales/profit they stress on us daily, in addition to what the investors want, warehouse just doesn’t seem correct. The investors drive the company, it shouldn’t be that way but it is. They want PROFITS, increased sales, growth. They are not satisfied with simply saving a little money while staying stagnant. Slashing DSD and going warehouse may save them some money, remember we are a small portion of this company, but it is not going to necessarily make them money. Especially with the boom of online shopping, retailers have a hard time keeping their own products on shelves as it is, let alone having our whole DSD line. I just do not see where the profit and growth is for the company by going warehouse. However a sale on the other hand makes more sense. In that case they sell the ice cream and pizza business and use that to invest in other areas they have been pushing for years pet, coffee, etc. Again, this is just all based on what the investors have been pushing for and is my personal opinion. And if I know anything about this place it’s that they bow to them. A sale would make them happy and that’s all they care about.

  1. If it were warehouse wouldn't chains already know?

It seems the general consensus is warehouse, which has been rumored for many of years. However, it is also publicly known that Nestle’s investors have been interested in selling off assets entirely (both pizza and ice cream business) to focus more on the “nutrition, health, wellness” slogan ... Nestle has a history of bowing to its investors as do many other large corps. A purchase makes the most sense in my opinion, and is our best hope when we consider the possibilities of what will be said at this meeting. Unfortunate situation that came out of nowhere, but all we can do is speculate, wait until Tuesday and adjust accordingly and move on. Best of luck to you all

Yeah , never understood the whole ‘market value’ routine ... payed in the whatever percentile of the industry . No other DSD vendors do anything like what we do , we should get paid more because we ARE the best there is. We do the same job every other company uses 10 people and 5 trucks for the same territory.

Tried to get the Teamsters union year ago when we were still dreyers. But everyone else chicken out to company threats and promises. Now look were the hell we are. But we are paid more then our market value if you listen to them. Yet bread companies make 70 to a 100 grand a year. No matter how this turn out. If you have a job after Tuesday, maybe now someone else will have the balls to stick to to these basterd
