I work in SDS - things getting bad. The layoffs are nonstop. When you lay off people supporting the work and top engineers are leaving, you know SDS is going downhill. All this talk of being agile is BOGUS. Over the past 2 months, they laid off veteran engineers who knew their stuff. Then all the scrummasters were laid off, then our agile lead, and now the entire agile Training !
The VPs and directors in SDS are grossly overpaid to basically cut as many people as possible to get huge bonuses. The new VPs come in, lay off all the people who knew the code, then leave after they get their fat bonuses.
I would hope so because the ones that support SAL’s in the north east and nyc s---.
After brand and sba “transformation”, everyone will be axed! Your thanks for working nights and weekends will be a pink slip!
I just left Staples about a month ago. One of the best decisions I’ve made career wise. Staples has gone down as a place of employment since late 2015. The writing was on the wall then. I give Staples 3 or 4 years before they end up like Payless. If you work in a Fulfillment center watch the Directors. They are grossly overpaid to basically cut as many people as possible to get huge bonuses. This is their new focus. All the metrics are false. Staples is a house of cards at this point.
Americans will be cut first! If you are white, look for another job. All they want are Indians, so they can control them. They will work nights and weekends like slaves
Transformation = cutting people until e-commerce is sellable!
I'm sure she was a fraction of the price of her con man predecessor. That and she's fairly competent.
probably till more of the IT is outsourced
I'm amazed that our CIO has survived the Sycamore purges for this long. How much longer can she hold out?
