Seems there are some scaredy cats on here that can’t deal with the truth...that the evidence of a broken, collapsed society is becoming more and more a reality as each day passes.

Just because you don’t believe the evidence and facts all around you doesn’t make it any less a reality that doom and gloom is coming and there is not a damn thing you can do about it, except to adapt and prepare for horrible times ahead. Stock market crash is coming before 2020. Fact.

And for the people laid off, yes, that is immediate doom. If you’re over 50, you will have a tough time finding a job at same level, if at all and if you are under 50, you will be over worked and underpaid. Both scenarios are doomy af because if you don’t have enough liquid cash available to pay your debts and bills, you will lose your home. You will suffer financially. These are the cold hard facts of life. Strap a pair on and swallow the red pill. Time to wake up.

Not shocked at all. Everything going on in the world has been prophesied to happen in the Bible. Read it. The NWO and coming economic collapse is happening. Nations are rising up against each other. We’ve never been so divided or filled with hate. Oh, it’s real. Try talking politics with someone these days who doesn’t agree with you.

People have become unhinged and insane.

If I get laid off I’m taking it as a sign from a God to move to a less populated area away from cities and people. I don’t want my family being near any of this when it really starts to unwind. Have any of you thought about if the government shutdown stays shut down for a long time that the people on food stamps and section 8 housing will not get their money? You should be preparing for the worst, these people already have nothing what do you think will happen when their free sh-- stops???

Do any of you even read the news these days? It’s crazy outside your cube or office at state street.

I got laid off with a huge severance and I already had a new job lined up! Was going to give my notice next week, now I get a nice break in between jobs and a big payday to my bank account.

If you are worried about layoffs, look for a new job, it took me 8 months of searching but the timing was perfect for me. Win win.

The bright side to being laid off is you can work out and cook your own meals as you now have time to do so. I will never go back to sitting at a desk 10 hours a day, getting fat and eating c-appy deli sandwiches. I’m in the best shape of my life, only eat what I prepare and never get sick. I now work less hours and have more freedom. And yes, I too downsized and got rid of things I didn’t need. If I get laid off again, no big deal, because my condo is paid off and I got rid of my car since I live in city. I learned a long time ago that eventually everyone gets laid off at least once when they least expect it.

Use your free time wisely and get in shape, most of you are fat and and could use to lose about 20 pounds.

I got laid off in 2015 and sold everything. Bought a house (smaller with 54 acres) with cash. Found another job and am much happier. And yeah, USA is not in good financial health. We all know the debt in this country just in government is off the charts and will never be paid unless we go to war. Consumer debt is the same, the average joe owes so much he and his family will never acquire any real wealth. Not sure why people hate these facts. The debt is killing the American dream. Greed is a disease.

Doom and gloom? It’s called truth. Wake up. Look around. Dark times are coming, the financial collapse which will be globally is real. It’s happening and there is not a damn thing you can say or do to stop it.

Or you can stick your head in the sand and pretend everything is not as bad as it is...that will only work for so long.

To be honest, its even worse than it appears...

I was laid off after 25 years of faithful service , but to be honest it was probably the best thing to happen to me.

During the last 12 years I lived with the stress of the yearly layoffs ever single year.

Seeing the dept where I work have the staff cut from 9 people down to 5 people.

This increased the stress for everyone as our work load was doubled due to the reduced staff.

It was even worse when 1 person went on vacation meaning it was only 4 people trying to carry the load.

Actually having to eat at our desks because nobody could take a proper lunch and leave the area.

Sometimes the stress was so bad people would bicker among themselves, people who were normally very friendly to each other.

Of course our Mgr would try his best to boost morale by saying, " Be grateful least you survived this round of layoffs.

WTF

Theses senior executives get golden parachutes. They will be fine. They've been making tons of money for decades. They have connections to land another job.

I don't feel bad for them.

Why is anyone shocked at how ruthless and cutthroat these companies are? Never forget, no matter what level you are, your are disposable or replaceable for any reason at any time.

Trust no one

You take what you can while you work there, honestly, of course and never take on any large debt that you could not repay if let go. Shocking, huh? It shouldn't be. Live within your means, avoid these jumbo mortgages and fancy luxury cars loans and leases and you won't be devastated when a layoff happens.

When did everyone forget that living in debt is not really living, it's being a slave.

Don't sell your soul for something that in turn will make you feel like life is misery.

A layoff has a silver lining... Find yourself and shine. And get rid of your debts, you don't need 95% of the sh-- you buy. Learn this now and a layoff will be a short pleasant vacation. Or spend way beyond your means and sell your soul for a job you will hate.

All levels at State St overspend on their lifestyles. Fact. So all of you are hurting the same. You can't pay your bills with no job no matter what level you're at.

Perhaps after January 2019, people will realize where this country is headed...

A job will be the least of your worries.

Get right with God!!!

Look, I’m just going to be honest with you guys. More layoffs are coming.

War is coming.

Stock market is going to crash, hard.

Sell everything and get out of any debts you have.

Time to realize the world is about to change... for the worse.

And pray the great earthquake that is coming soon does not cause a tsunami on the east coast.

I am in the exact same as position except I am was laid off last week and not today. Wife is an air traffic controller. We are both so stressed out.

As for State Street --I had stopped loving the job a few years ago. I began to see the place for what it truly is. It is a horrible place that treats it's people terribly.

So what now. I do not know. We do still have a mortgage and school costs for our two children.

I will don't know how the senior management at State Street can live with themselves. They are evil. I do like that I feel this way about anyone but it is something I can't stop feeling about so many at State Street.

@XaUI5x3 Sorry to hear about your current situation. The federal government shutdown is another story entirely but they will eventually get back to work. Thank you Donald Trump is all that I can say to that and the travesty that is the current White House and the administration. As a long-time former employee of State Street I have posted many times that I loved working at State Street and will always miss it. You will find another position maybe with one of our competitors or doing something else entirely. I wish only the best for you and all of the other's who have been let go from State Street.

Very dark times are coming to America. Sell everything and prepare. Look at your freedom as a blessing right now. Don’t delay. The shutdown is going to last two years.

Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and say a prayer that you are led to a better job.

Please, the time is short. Everything happens for a reason. Pray.
