Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

Qualcomm announces 5G chips for cars, PC’s and home broadband

An interesting article that shines the light on the company efforts to cover other markets, other than mobile phones, that will rely on or be using 5G technology. Is it risky to try to succeed in such diversified markets and should Q stick to doing what it does best?

Atheros was PJ if i recall. SM would have totally ruined an Atheros deal.

SM is a total L00SER

5G will prove to be another fiasco in cellphone industry.

Q has spent years and years 'diversifying' and SM has lead the charge. Can anyone really name a success ? Perhaps Atheros but holy cow that was a looooooong time ago. The entrenched old school execs and senior leaders have proven inept at growing outside of 'core mobile'. Datacenter was a huge fiasco.
