Why do you stay at Juniper? It's been a while since I've talked to somebody who actually likes working here (besides myself,) and yet I don't see anybody trying actively to leave.
So what is it? What is keeping you here despite hating it? I'm genuinely curious.

Juniper or not, everyone should check the job market every couple of years to make sure they are getting what the market is paying. It’s only smart. Don’t assume just because you got a raise at your current company, it matches what is going on in the open market. Quite frankly, it probably is not.
I think folks who think they are paid well are not aware of what other companies pay. I was in the same camp for a long time. 2 years ago, I started looking out due to all BS going on and was ready to take a pay cut to get out. I am not smart enough to get into FAANGs, so managed to get into a tier 2 company. Even a tier 2 company was able to beat Juniper comp by 15%. It was then that I realized that I am underpaid. My guess is FAANGs pay 40% more than Juniper, but the bar is very high.
Don't worry about me, I already switched to one of FAANG with much better pay. I come here occasionally just for fun, like slapping the monitor's face with data, or watching you defending your small comp, lol.
I’m happy with my comp. I know you hate the fact there are some people who are happy at Juniper but it is true. Fight for a bigger bonus or more rsu’s if you think youre worth it.
And how can we help you get another job? Hate will destroy you. Try to channel your passion in a positive way.
It might have been a while since you guys checked the market. There could be lots of good things about Juniper but your total comp is not one of them.

If your a high performer you work as hard as you want to at juniper. That is, the speed and standards of your management are much lower than the standards that you hold yourself to. If you think Juniper is a rough and tough fast moving company then you’re part of the problem - this place is laid back and not tightly managed at all.
The pay is pretty good. Up until a couple of years ago I would have said the pay (total comp) was very good. But not any longer. However, do realize that some junivators have a sizable number of unvested rsu’s. Finding another job you want that pays 15% more is near impossible for some. And for me I’d need at least 10% more to even consider other employment because I’m fairly happy at Juniper. If I were miserable then of course I’d leave for equal pay or even 10% less.
Plenty of bad things at juniper but I won’t cover them here since you didn’t ask. And there are additional things I like about the company but I’m getting bored typing this on my Android.

Many people already left. Juniper is bringing people from India and they are locked with Visa issues.
Juniper pays good for grade 10 and above and they won't leave. Otherwise, I saw people expating from Juniper. Guess some people are waiting for the package as 3 months pay also a big sum.
Juniper has rolling layoffs that are constant. They do this to stay under the radar and not alarm employees or the government. When it is advantages or necessary to show Wall Street and Investors that cost cutting measures are being taken, a public layoff takes place. This is to offset bad news, such as poor earnings during the past quarter. Since this creates a demoralizing and stressful environment, many choose to leave on their own.p
I hope this answers the question about periodic layoffs on the surface and the constant voluntary and involuntary attrition of highly skilled employees.
All this will stop only with better leadership that values the people and recognizes them as the most valuable asset in the company.
Keep telling your leadership that Juniper monitor, so they’ll tell you you’re doing a great job managing this site.
Based on the writing and content, I think it's just the same cast of characters (5-10) that post here, like a Cheers bar. I think those guys are looking while they come here to complain.
I know people at J and they like it just fine. Some are looking only because the leadership likes to whittle the payroll every month and that's stressful. It'd be MUCH healthier stress-wise if a big layoff was ONCE a year so then people could resume their work instead of having a panic attitude looking for something else ASAP.
Folks are hanging around for the money WHILE looking for a job. This is not the same company it once was - it’s not the job, it’s the leadership. I’m curious - what makes you feel so secure in a place that is sinking?
