Thread regarding General Electric Co. layoffs

GE Stock at $6.99 today.

How much lower will the stock drop as it hit $6.99 today?

I sold the stock in the S&SP (401K plan) when it was about $30 a few years ago and just trying to figure out how to time the bottom to get back in like many of us did in 2009.

I am hoping it might stabilize, but will not be surprised if we see $4-5 range as the bottom.

What do you think?

Culp isn’t fixing anything. He was put in place to facilitate the exec level extracting as much capital as they can from GE, and then let it sink into a bankruptcy & restructuring.

COMPREHEND WHAT THEY DO, NOT WHAT THEY SAY!

With the appointment of Rice and letting go the OA's it looks like GEP lacks the self awareness to fix itself. Rice is acting like an old man who wonders why everyone can't do their own typing after they spent all this money on word processors.

None of the decision makers have the ability to make the effective decisions. Without that ability we'll just stumble towards bankruptcy.

I don't think the government will let GE go bankrupt, rather step in to restructure them due to all of the engine contracts. Either way a lot of people will have to be let go.

Be careful. I think bankruptcy may be an option. For all Culps talk about change with urgency all we have so far is a reorganization of power leaving the same failed manager in place but now they report to him. That’s as close to rearranging the deck chairs on the titanic as it gets. And then he brings back rice? Why?

Oh I guess they did cut about 150 people from a small office in Florida. This guy is making Flannery look like Flash Gordon.

Something else is at play with culp other than fixing Ge.
