According to this site lay-off day is Wednesday 17. If you haven’t done it yet copy your contacts down on paper or on your own electronics. They may give you your old company phone but all the contacts will be gone.

Forward yourself a company wide or department wide email so you can easily send a lovely note all to all your old friends

Decide today if your going out as a BOSS or a b**ch. Plan ahead and leave some cake and cookies behind for you buds. Have a cooler of beer in the trunk to share once you’re out the door.

Make sure your PL starts the off-boarding meeting with a safety moment. Stretch it out and watch them squirm.

Send any documents that you think you will need to your personal email.

Is there a correlation between the speculative October 17th layoff and the online meeting the following day with Heidi Bredenholler-Prasad? Could it be an attempt to calm the masses after the move, then explain the plan going forward, bringing calm to the remains? But really when has this company or work place solutions ever been truly thoughtful. But for the initial comment, not only save your contacts list but would advise securing your personal files and data to bring with you.

PL’s don’t squirm, they’re keeping their cushy jobs!

Laying off on Halloween would be some bad karma for those doing the dirty work. I wouldn’t be able to sleep I know that for a fact. I’d hear every bump in the night

But otherwise it follows the game plan. Midweek end of the month.

I noticed lots of meeting rooms booked for Oct. 31. I haven’t heard from any credible source though.

Tomorrow or not, we know it is going to happen soon.
