Contrail is s---ing all the money out of Juniper. A 10 year experienced guy with 0 manager experience has recently been made a senior manager from Staff role while we in other groups have to toil long and hard for a 50% bonus. Apart from this, these people get hefty bonuses and stocks each year for doing nothing. Contrail hardly makes $10M a year and they report directly to CTO office. Politics at its worst. This company will close soon if it doesn't value the right people.

This is the only s**t Chudiper is about......funnel money, titles, perks, ideas, to who is who of the powers. Thank you for coddling and adopting the rules of third world, expect more with the on slough of H1Bs coming.

Contrail was a huge mistake, and no one wants to talk about it.
From the outside Contrail was a huge investment at $170M+. In reality, it was not just an investment, it was also a scheme for a select group of players to funnel a large sum of money out of Juniper. Sadly this scheme has continued even after this so called ‘spin-in’.
Unless Wall street makes a stink about it, this scam will be repeated with a ‘spin-in’ of fungible and the investors will get screwed once more.
The fundamental problem with Juniper is Marketing. There are a handful of idiots in Marketing who know just enough to impress an equally unimpressive group of mouthy directors and VPs. This group has repeatedly brought out a series of products and solutions that Juniper just cannot compete in the market with. It clearly shows a lack of leadership within Marketing, a lack understanding of the the products and solutions that have been developed, and a lack of knowledge of what the competitive landscape looks like.
In short, Junipers Marketing sücks, and is largely responsible for it’s failure.
At least Contrail works unlike the overhyped SDSN and self driving networks and now much touted Intent driven networks. Juniper just need to stop following Cisco blindly and go back to building their own solutions and identity.
Not a unique thing just for Contrail. Exact same thing happened in EMEAR early 2017. d---beat without any management experience was dumped on us as a Senior Manager. Guy could not even write a sentence correctly in English. It’s Juniper culture. Who s---s best and most gets promoted.
