Absolutely true! I was with ACN for 5+ years made it to a Strategy Manager 40 years old top of pay grade and consistently above rating. I was given a two week notice in between projects with no warning and no severance. Almost all of the best Strategists left or we're laid off / pushed out before I was. There was little to no real strategy work being sold anymore. Totally cold and unprofessional. Took them over 1 month to actually process my termination too so I had to testify in front of a judge to get UI insurance. Blessing in disguise though! Definitely do not recommend!

No it's not and they do it all the time in the US. End of Aug, early Sept when they realize they were significantly over budget or cannot find the budget for tech investments they want they will go after especially Internal Sr Managers in the name of "Recovery," and push them out the door, especially if they are in their 40's ad 50's with high ratings because if you are a top performer, you are also most likely at the top of the pay grid and deemed really expensive despite working like a dog. They will also continue testing their resources to make sure they are willing to work like dogs and whenever they suspect they are not, then those people are also extremely susceptible of getting pushed out. Every one should have a plan B, Save up their FU money (Stupid not too), and develop a vision for where you would go if this were to happen. Accenture is all about cost to serve per second over anything else that crushes the ability to develop and keep inspirational, talented people. They are left with those who are willing to conform to their robotic, vanilla, slave like environment. Once you check in to "The Hotel Accenture, you can never leave" unless they push you out or you gain the courage to go do something with your life - anything - that is more interesting than your prison cell block of Accenture.
