Happy fourth, BK will be thinking hard on his estate and counting his $$$$$$$$$ and about how he pays for the continued follies and his next great ACT!

OTC is the Open-source Technology Center.

It was an experiment within SSG based on the somewhat founded belief that to influence open source projects, most notably Linux, you had to hire a stable of recognized experts called committers, since they have credibility to push (or control) changes into various open source programs. However, these committers have credibility which stands independent from Intel, which means they only loosely (or not at all) would parrot the official corporate position.

As a result, you often end up with OTC programs which are poorly if completely unaligned with division product group initiatives. A few times I've seen OTC programs actually start programs which run completely counter to Intel BU interests.

Hence, they sometimes have a perception of being a bunch of loose canons if not ineffectively applied to further Intel initiatives.

Nothing is going to happen this or next week.

BoD, CEO, MCM, and most of the senior VPs and GMs are all off at their estates or exotic vacation getaways.

Let the rank and file enjoy a few days with their family, BBQ, and fireworks.

Look around your really think things are all good at the moment, LOL. $hit now things are still terrible and more ACTs are going to be required, big ones to prop up the stock price. BK has no choice, nor will his successor!

Enjoy your fireworks and be sure to know you will come back to never ending fireworks and drama at work, GPTW!

At Intel 13 years and never heard of OTC. What is this?

OTC all hands tomorrow morning. Everyone thinks they will postpone it again till after holiday. Emails from managers were supposedly to go out Wednesday but didn't. The perception that they are all fools is intact.

Awaiting reorg info in process. They are taking their time. Org meeting Friday. People are really gonna not like this one. If morale is on life support, this will kill it off for good.

I don't think this is mother of all layoffs. this is something like natural attrition every year as its very low compared to ACT.

BK will hire back more than he fires. I am too stupid to understand what he is thinking.

93 in Santa Clara is a single entry just added -- others in CA (Folsom) may follow. And more for Santa Clara could be added. As it is, comparing the 93 to SC's population and extrapolating it across all of Intel yields ~2,000 -- similar to the stealth layoff of 2015. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.

Hopefully Bruh-cklehead will get canned -- Intel could do with fewer toxic koolaid drinkers.

Once was so proud to be changing the world at intel and doing great things

So happy these days off that train wreck. So tragic how a company that makes so much money with so much talent wasting it on stupid fads with no vision nor conviction from management.

Feel sure company still making money and resources the envy of many, but wasting money and resources on all the wrong things as far more visionary companies pass this once company by.

Systematically firing older employees while simultaneously hiring recent, younger, college graduates youths in the United States is immoral, unethical, and very much illegal. That's the new Intel under BK. I have to go now to complete the check the box ethics class assigned to my training.

Nobody cars for you, BK and BoD care about surviving quarter to quarter to pick up their huge compensation, it will be at the cost of your paycheck!

ACT now or be Part of ACT

I wonder if BOD knows how little confidence there is in BK and his staff in the employee base? Hard for me to imagine they do given his big raise and their seeming silence.

No one I know watches or attends the BUM. They just want to know the QTR bonus the next day.

If you look at the audience, it's pretty sparse. Lots of empty seats. Some people think a CEO's job is to lead and drive a successful culture.

Intel Board of Directors, you awake?

Don't be worried. BE READY.

You are the employee of a mega-corporation who is unable to reinvent itself. The leadership shifts, pivots and changes direction every 6 months. How can we believe what BK says when he's shifted stories on us so many times - always following 3 years behind tech trends. At this point, he doesn't even believe his own bulls*it.

Don't be surprised. Don't be worried. BE READY.

There are other places than Intel.

Great turnarounds take years to execute and happen when you see next big thing before all you competitors.

Next great thing you invent, if you are chasing the fad like BK is with AI, autonomous driving, VR, it turns out like cellphones and tablets did, late and uncompetitive and lose billions which is what will happen with current follies and the end results, more ACTs duh, 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣

I guess there is still a chance to turnaround and make intel great again. just needed to stop the bureaucracy they have an focus on key deliverable and customers. Hope management learns that.

Rank and file are in fear, what a GPTW trusting Intel BK has fostered with silent ACT, ACT and redployments, more ACTs are Venetian as Intel fails at everything and x86 collapse and 10nm flounders.

You know it is coming, is it going to be you impacted next regardless of how hard you work?

You were looking when you found that job, you'll find another. Stay focused and positive. Change is not always a bad thing. So many of you sound bitter, so maybe it was time for you to move on anyway. Regardless, good luck and God bless you on this next chapter of life. I will always have fond memories of you all.

Good luck to all the good guys trying hard to hold together through the BK years. Hopefully its all hype from trolls but i have that sinking feeling of doom as i see bosses all huddled . They smile at me still, but i get a sinking feeling like one might get if you see a skunk with a masochistic smile. Just when you think it is a harmless kitten it turns around with backside pointed towards you and tags you with the heinous stink of failure.

Three straight years of reductions and nothing significant has changed or improved.

Everyone still travels business class and extravagant wastes like Olympics. McDonalds decided their valuable money to be spent else where.

BK spends like a drunken sailor and does irrational layoffs. With him in the corner except continued layoffs and irrational acts.

Why intel chasing dads is destined for failure especially with BK at the helm as he is Gump and no Jobs
