I hear that Broadcom's bonus plan is better than Qualcomm

Is that true? I'm considering which company to join, which has better future

If you are an average employee then the bonus is better than Qcom. However if you believe you are excellent then the bonus will be worst than Qcom. Hock doesn't believe in distinguishing employees based on performance. He classifies them in 3 levels only. Qcom on the other hand goes through the appraisal process every 6 months. Best bonus numbers in Qcom are definitely higher than BCOM highest bonus numbers.

of course bonus is better, CEO controls headcount very strict, and any BU not making good enough profit will start laying off people. CEO also doesn't believe any company benefits, he just convert them to bonus and give you cash instead.
