If you still want your job go union. ATS is going to replace us all.

We are pulling for you guys. We need more union people in our industry. Our company's are in direct competition with each other. And your company has the advantage being non-union.

But for Verizon to remain competitive against a non-union Cablevision and Comcast (and non-union sub-contractors of each of these companies) ,we as a union had to make some difficult choices. This led us to make concessions, we also ended up on strike .

But we had a say in how things went down .When our contract was negotiated Verizon wanted us to give up our pensions, and the list went on and on. In the end we had to pay more for our medical ,but still got the raises we wanted , saved our pension and got Verizon to back off the rest of the demands they had on the table.

Just remember, a full time union worker at Shoprite or Acme is making more than you do. Why do they make more ?Because they have a contract and you don't.

Remember, your CEO just said you guys are going all fiber. That work could all be going contractors.

See you out in the field. Stop by and say hi.I will be the vz tech you see everyday out on the road.

Cents in your pocket I respect your opinion. I however feel different. What is holding me back is my family. Do you have a family yet? Have you experienced the additional out of pockets and increased health care. Personally I'd rather have a few cents in the bank for my kids. I worked my tail off my whole life for every penny I made. All said and done the recent changes made will take years to recoup. I'd sooner pay my 4% and yours to have job security, fair wages, and benefits that are guaranteed. Not for a new car or a night out but for my families security. No disrespect just my opinion. I do understand nothing is guaranteed, however I believe as an individual in the current atmosphere the end is inevitable.

Work is work the work is not the issue the issue is we have no voice we need our voices heard they are steam rolling us taking everything we fought for throughout the years by us having a threat of unionizing I always thought it was us but it was the union getting what we got, Dolan got his by paying that blood money the Bx took that's how he got that 17.7 b price tag I just want to keep what we got I guarantee if there's no union me and you will be gone by 2018 mark my words they are going 80% contractors in non union areas they already took half the Bronx away and gave it to contractors and what you said nothing what easier work I have access how you figure 180 field techs in area 1-4 you are already laid off you just don't know it yet

Son nothing is guaranteed. The union doesn't give you anything except a right to collectively bargain. Would you rather fight 10 people by yourself or with 10 friends? If you think the bonus is where it ends you terribly mistaken. I am assuming your management and in that case you lost you holiday bonus previously. Which by the way, I am sure you were complaining about. Next year performance bonuses will be on the chopping block. That is if you are even still employed. I think your just angry because you can't be part of a union. Either way I wouldn't want someone like you watching my back.

If you dont like Altice leave no one is holding us back. I still feel good getting to do what i do. If i get and strong or outstanding in my review I still get money. Yes it s---s whats hapoening but im not giving 4th percent to a 3rd party than what i have giving already. Give me my route i will give it 110% percent and go home f--- the union and the false promises. I used to work for verizon b4 i came here and i still have the sour taste when i got layed off with my other 100 so coworkers. I dont believe in it and never will. Im gonna ride this till the end with every cent in my pocket.
