Anybody got ideas about the contents of this layoff? Transition periods? How they pay us after Transition period completed?

All who will be part of new company may not be getting any letter !!!! What letter are you expecting on 1st Feb. or 2nd Feb. ????
All the new was mentioned the letter will be given on 1st Feb...But some peoples was mentioned the date was push out to 2nd Feb...
Why the date was pushed out again??!!
We've no news yet... a lot of peoples was mentioned about the transition period. I believe most of the peoples will get transition in different date.

Transition plan is a trick to save money ? Most of the people on transition will be leaving earlier than the end date when they find a suitable job and end up loosing both bonus as well as severance.
Very very minimal cuts in India is what I hear...But few people have been intimated mostly on transition :-( Next Tuesday is India holiday; so mostly we will get to know more by Monday...
I work in ops, central engineering, the cut was roughly 80%, it was bloody. Most got transition, some day1

I got mine today - fairly simple:
working through 2/29, at that point I am getting 60 days pay and that's it

Everyone in my team is getting the cut. Some get to stay for 12 months and others 2 months. We are in the Bluetooth group.
most of them in IT got transition cannot included Total %. once effected by layoff could be 3%, this is only the beginning

If they could, they will let most of us go before the next ESPP period which is April.

Is severance + bonus is about a mth pay. instead 12mth they can lay off in 9 which is about the same

As you see, it's expensive to keep people on the job transition.
They only put the people they need on the transition.
I dont have transituin. Out end of this month and will get paid 60 days then my severance at the end.

We get the transition bonus at the end date plus the severance package. If they decide to let us go earlier than the transition end date as long as they are letting us go not for cause then we still get the full transition bonus plus the severance package. But if we leave early voluntarily then we lose both.
I assume 12 months transition means you will be laid off after 12 months ?? Transition jobs will not get any severance package - is that correct ??
