Its now the darkest days ahead for Boeing with Renton B737 MAX going into the deep freeze until summer. I still do not understand Boeing not putting a larger nose and main gear to not have to change CG and keeping NGs flight control system in place
If you can't build the MAX go back and build the NG at least some airlines will buy them and you will keep people employed
The NG wouldn't sell. The NEO is already eating the MAX lunch. With 15%-20% better costs over the NG, nobody would buy the NG.
They're not going to bring back the NG. They are going to stubbornly continue with the MAX until all this eventually blows over. Probably with all the gains made over the last few years gone and the stock prices way down. Hindsight is 20/20 of course, but now it's obvious Boeing should've just designed a new plane. And maybe this is me being stubborn, but I'm never going to fly in a 737 MAX
