I smell a major restructuring coming with two executives on the way out.
Yep, layoffs company wide starting today
Yes. This week. My husband has had the tug pulled out from under his feet. His position along with others in marketing and sales have been eliminated. It has been kept very quiet but it was presented as a mass layoff.
Yep, layoffs at end of January - company isn't paying severance packages - not a good sign as they are trying to stay afloat.
Now it the 2nd half recover of 2020 (from 2H in 2019). This spinning sht is revolving and nobody believe its credibility any more.
WD confessed that it will lose market share to Seagate 16T, stock dropped.
HDD ok for now but the trend may not be your friend.
2020? Ladies and gentlemen, 2019 is not over yet! If we don’t do another round in December, it will break a long standing trend.
My guess is Dec 11 or 12 for the next RIF.
According to macoaxis, WD has probability of bankruptcy at 46% while Seagate is around 22%.
WD’s problem will boil down to its debt which could explode into crisis. A sensible investor will not loan new money to WD at loose terms. When it is time to refinance the massive debt, WD and new CEO will learn the hard way.
Layoffs, you bet in order to stay afloat.
