Do not expect to be treated well if you plan on staying for a long period of time. Many new or young employees get valuable training through this company, and then move elsewhere in order to advance their careers. With that being said, I'm not sure how it works throughout the energy industry, so this might just be the modern way of conducting business: cold and uncaring.

It’s a constant rolling process.

whenever someone needs a raise promotion or bigger bonus, can happen anytime to anyone unless you are in the directors clique then never and if you are above 50 the odds are good you wont last long - new college hire you will be the last to let go all about HR quotas
