Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

Quietly Quitting

Comment if you are. Believe 50% or more teammates are actively disengaged.

They won't fire you. Their plan is to outsource you to India.

‘ At what point does management realize what we're doing and just fire us? It's possible many managers already realize it, but what can they do?’

They have changed policies to make it easier to fire people. Previously it was a PIP and many layers of documentation and drawn out process to fire someone. The red tape is being removed and making it easier to give someone the boot.

@1xor+1sSGkoB7 100% agree. You are being paid to do your job. Do it. Don’t like it? Leave.

Seems the teammates “in the know” realize quiet quitting is the name of the game at Truist!

I started quiet quitting years ago. Can’t seem to get laid off.

You are wrong my friend. First off-I hope your day gets better. Angerily trolling people to tell them they have no self respect tells me things are not well on your end. Good luck with that! Honestly.

I would say the people not putting up with lies and disrespect have plenty of self respect and will no longer tolerate others BS.

Quiet quitting is the best example of laziness of people - just quit then you must have no self respect if you are taking a pay check but not working

Definitely quiet quitting here. Almost actually quit twice, but realized I'd rather still take their money instead. At what point does management realize what we're doing and just fire us? It's possible many managers already realize it, but what can they do?

Hey now, no need to get personal!

@gvq+1sSGkoB7 - 100% agree. I’ve always been a high performer and take pride in my work. Truist is an awful culture. Never had this much contempt for a job and it’s solely due to the s-h-i-t-t-y culture. Leadership is the worst I’ve ever experienced.

For sure. Young, old, short timers and old timers. Never could have imagined this being the result of the merger.

There has been a dramatic increase in the number of teammates that are checked out, disengaged and setting themselves as Open For Work on LinkenIn.

In CT&O you would think the threat of being laid off for an offshore Accenture resource would motivate people to be engaged, noticed and identified as someone we should keep. The opposite is happening.

Our current leadership has turn this place into a dumpster fire and the teammates are fed up.

Word spreads how teammates are being treated and most people are just done with all of it.

Yessss most teammates I know are actively looking for new jobs. It's the equivalent of being on a hookup app while dating someone you can't stand #BetterTogether
