With a lifetime of work experience behind me, I can honestly say, I love working here at Baker!

Baker took a chance on me, several yrs ago,(worked in 1st Oil Bust / 80's), and its been an adventure ever since! Sure, you've got some tough days, but if you show up every day on time, ready to work with a good attitude, you will be treated fairly.

I've been working for over 40 yrs, and have never had such good benefits or pay!! All you "entitled" young guns- appreciate what you've got! Turn off the "wambulance", stick a smile on your face, be thankful you've got a job and get to work!!

If you need inspired and motivated by you supervisor, then you are a sorry asshand. Don't blame someone else because you haven't grown up. You are not entitled to a damn thing. Grow a pair and act like a man instead of a dead beat that you are!!!

F@@k you too. You are part of the problem, not the solution. Give us managers who can actually manage their staff, not just their emails, and supervisors with leadership skills who inspire and motivate, rather than ones who show no interest, are just going through the motions until they retire and don't give a toss about the career aspirations of those below them because they are bitter miserable f@@ks.

I hate where I work too. It bears no resemblance to the Baker Hughes portrayed on the internal website where everyone appears to be pulling together. Where I work it seems to be the opposite. I have a useless supervisor who is out his depth and has no man management skills. Everyone knows this, as do management because they have been told, yet nothing has been done about him. There is nothing worse than a bad supervisor other than incompetent ball less managers

Have worked at several Baker plants. Pay is good, benefits have been fair. Not happy about the 401k thing but understand just by watching oil prices and shop orders.Hate seeing people loose out but it happens. I dont control the company so I will let the uppers worry about keeping the doors open and who gets compesated for what. If the top is making big bucks then the ones that control the stocks made the call. Just do my job and hope for the best.

FWIW- I used to work for baker hughes many years ago. I hated it also. I had to drag myself to work the last year I was there before they laid me off. The bad news is there are many more companies just like them or similar. The good news is there are some good companies out there, their benefit package may not be quite as competitive, but what is really important? Making 10-15% more or having a better quality of life?

Morale is so bad. As a motivated employee that tries to stay positive I'm really struggling to stay on track..especially this week..you step into the Tulsa shop and you can feel it.

I know exactly how you feel, we have a tard stick for a plant director. More like an assclown, corporate has had a witch hunt this week in Oklahoma.
