MSO is Member Service Organisation I.e. the call center organisation or customer care.

What is MSO?

Saw the email & thought it would be to rally for the holiday season. Trying to keep employees still working there since it's a good time to move on with other stores hiring for the holidays. Do well & you may stay on.

MSO profitable??? I always thought it was a cost center that all paid for

MSO is probably one of the safer areas of Sears I would say. It's still profitable, plus with most of its associates and employees outsourced or will be, its saving loads of money. MSO is in a better place than Retail, which will have to shrink considerable.

Will need to see who will be facilitating the town hall this will also throw up some clues as to who is moving on. On another topic MSO is almost complete vendor based. How does the MSO organisation stack up with all that is happening?

Yeah. There are typically done by district though so this news may be a bit off. They do happen around this time though, sure.

We are going to have some kind of Showroom featuring Alexa and the appliance integration as an in-store demo/home automation example.

We have town halls every couple of months....nithing out of the ordinary.

Yes they seem to have a town hall meeting once a year at least.. still a waste of payroll

This will be another RAH RAH sears is doing great things are going in the right direction (yea for Eddie and his wallet) but not the hard working employees these are a waste of our time as sears employees. They NEVER give a straight answer to the questions we all have.

Townhalls are often just to relay the same message that they have been trumpeting for years. If Shld decides to declare bankruptcy, they won't say it in a townhall. You will see it in their news. As a public company, they have to give them message to everyone at their same time. Hence them need for secrecy leading up to these filing. You won't know until the axe drops.

They have those all the time. Dumb.
