Just saw the email that Devry is under investigation for fraud, hmmmm sounds just like what happened to Everest. I have to say I am not surprised. After teaching here for a couple of terms I can clearly see they have the same business model as Everest University and are only worried about student retention. We all know what happened to Everest! Hold on everyone this ship is going DOWN!

I should have gone to Trump U. At least that case was settled.
I worked in admissions, and people were fired if they did not hit their numbers. People in admissions were sent to Pride and given money because they enrolled students. THIS IS A FACT. Nobody was ever sent to PRIDE because they were a good person or helped anyone. This happened even after Devry was told to not do this. It was never written, only understood. The goberment needs to speak with former admissions advisers who were let go between the dates of 2008-2015.
Several large companies in Atlanta (Coca Cola among them) will not hire anyone with a Devry or Phoenix degree on their resume. Now, I am sure some management zombie will come along and post that this is an utter lie but it is the truth and has been for 5-6 years here. I wonder if "admissions" tells these poor souls that Coca Cola hires their grads?

Devry Atlanta is a joke and one of the three hubs for Zombie University. These crumbs like to target veterans due to the 90% rule so they want all the federal money that they can get, but look at the stocks today down to 17.00 a share. What does this say for the Hamburger crew? Not to mention the other "yes and how high do you want me to jump" desperate or stupid deans and professors. I sure would not want Devry on my curriculum vitae.

I thought this was supposed to be about layoffs? Not a forum for "butt-hurt" people that couldn't hack being held accountable to serve students. Butt-hurt because the institutions you want to work for laugh at your inadequate skills and knowledge. You were lucky to have an opportunity to help people but too selfish and spoiled to realize it. Adjunct because you can't find a real job in your industry and pissed because your wife left you, your dog hates you and rogaine isn't helping anymore! Don't worry your mommy doesn't mind that you have to stay there a little while longer as long as you take the trash out and shower every other day! Shit, you might want to consider signing up for a class or two since your unemployment benefits are about to run out. The loans that you have are about to go into default, you can have them deferred for a bit!
Someone will be blamed and told to leave. Usually the board members will remove the current management team, as pressure mounts from key stock holders.
I used to teach for Keller before it was taken over by Devry and forced into just another of their zombie schools. These guys are incompetent at everything except scamming poor students out of money. Now they're running a nursing school-Chamberlin- and without it, Devry Atlanta would be dead in the water. God help us all when we get sick and are treated by these poor students who paid good money to get a nursing degree and the schmucks that hire them. If ever there was an organization that reeks of fraud, this is it.

So how many schools does this make with smoldering piles of debt that can never be repaid? How many more of these events is it going to take for the corrupt department of education to finally do something and stop wasting trillions of dollars of the taxpayer's money on private CEOs?
Devry leadership has long influenced professors to push students through that can not master the curiculum. Career services is renowned for submitting false information about student employment rates in field upon graduation. So what we have is a snowball effect of Devry employees that are pathetic with no morals and in the end the students and the tax payers are footingoing the bill for incompetent educators to receive high salaries. Devry needs to be put in place.
